Can I go to Peru to help?

If you are a fluent Spanish Speaker and can help for 6 months or more we would be interested in hearing from you. Please contact us here.

What are your greatest needs at the moment?

We are currently putting much effort into getting the training centre fully operational. We need some funds to buy the remaining equipment and also sponsors to support young people through the training. More information can be found here.

How much of your funds is spent on administration?

The Charity funds only pay for:

  • The children's support costs
  • The salaries of the workers that directly help the children and young people in Peru
  • The maintenance costs of the training centre.

Therefore no funds are earmarked for 'administration' or to pay for workers not directly supporting the work in Peru. All trustees of the charity including fundraisers are volunteers.

Is there jealousy between children not sponsored in a family?

The Trust always ensures that all children in the sponsored family can go to school. The whole family benefit because of home improvements and healthcare

Peru is one of the poorest countries in South America. This means poverty for many Peruvians, and make it difficult for the country to provide its citizens with basic social services such as health care, education, and safe sanitation.
